Is Haven free to use as a buyer or renter?

Yes. Browsing, saving listings, sending inquiries, and scheduling viewings are all free for buyers and renters. Haven does not hold deposits, rent, or sale funds — payment happens directly between you and the agent or owner you choose to work with.

How does Haven’s AI search and matching work?

You describe what you’re looking for in plain language and Haven extracts the structured filters — area, budget, beds, amenities — then ranks active listings by how closely they match. The same model also helps agents prefill listings from a URL or description, so the data you’re filtering on stays consistent across the marketplace.

What happens after I send an inquiry?

The agent (or the company that owns the listing) gets an email and a dashboard notification within seconds. Most reply the same day. Their replies arrive in your Haven inbox at your dashboard — you can keep the entire back-and-forth on-platform.

How do I schedule a property viewing?

On any listing tap Request a viewing, pick a date and time, and add a note if you have one. The agent confirms, proposes another slot, or cancels — you’ll see the status update in your dashboard and over email. Some agents charge a nominal viewing fee; it’s always shown before you confirm.
05Buyers

How do I save listings I like?

Tap the heart icon on any listing card or detail page. Saved listings show up in your dashboard under Saved, and the agent doesn’t see who saved their listing — only the total count.

How do I close a deal on Haven?

Haven’s job is to put you in direct contact with verified agents and owners. Once you’ve agreed terms in your inbox, the contract signing, deposit, and handover happen between you and the agent — Haven does not hold funds or take commission. Always meet in person before paying anything and insist on a documented agreement.

What if an agent asks me to pay before a viewing?

That’s a red flag. Verified agents on Haven do not collect fees before a viewing, and Haven never asks for payment on their behalf. If you see this, use the Report button on the listing — Trust & Safety reviews reports within four hours during business hours.

How do I get verified as an agent?

Submit your NIN (the 11-digit national ID) from your agent dashboard, plus your CAC certificate if you operate under a registered business. Haven runs both through Dojah’s identity checks against the official registries. If anything doesn’t match cleanly we route you to a quick manual review by our team. Final outcome: approved — your profile and listings go public — or rejected with a reason.

How do I post my first listing?

From your agent dashboard click New listing and the wizard walks you through price, location, photos, and amenities. You can save as a draft at any point. Drafts stay private to you; published listings appear in public search once your account is approved.

What kinds of listings are allowed on Haven?

Every listing must advertise a specific, existing property — a house, apartment, or plot of land a buyer can view and transact on. Investment products, cashback or dividend offers, buy-to-resell or equity-pooling schemes, and other financial products are not allowed. That rule is what keeps buyer trust high — and more trust means more inquiries for everyone — so violating listings are taken down, and repeatedly posting them can lead to suspension.

Why isn’t my listing showing in public search?

Public search only includes listings owned by approved profiles. While your verification is pending, your published listings stay hidden from buyers. Once verification flips to APPROVED, return to your dashboard and publish the draft to make it live.
12Agents

How do I manage incoming inquiries?

Every inquiry from a buyer lands in your agent inbox, threaded per buyer per listing. You can reply, mark intent, and request a viewing from the same thread. Companies route inquiries through their shared inbox and assign to a specific agent.
13Agents

What analytics do I see on my listings?

Per listing: views, unique viewers, saves, inquiry opens, inquiry submits, and phone / email reveals — all over a window you choose. The numbers are owner-only; other agents and buyers cannot see your engagement data.

How do I list my company on Haven?

Sign up, choose the Company role during onboarding, then complete your company profile and submit your CAC for verification. Once approved, your company page is public and you can publish listings and projects under the company brand. Listing as a company is free during launch — we’ll give you notice before that changes.
15Companies

How do I add agents to my company?

From the company dashboard go to Team and invite agents by email. Pick a role: Owner, Admin, or Member — each has a different permission set for listings and inquiries. The invitee accepts via a one-time link; if they don’t have a Haven account yet, they sign up through the invite.

What are project pages and how do they work?

Projects are multi-unit developments — typically off-plan or new-build. Create a project, mark it READY or OFF_PLAN, add unit types (with beds, baths, price), and upload milestone photos as construction progresses. Each unit type can spawn its own listing automatically, so you don’t have to maintain duplicates.

How are inquiries routed inside a company?

Inquiries on a company-owned listing land in the shared company inbox. Admins can assign each inquiry to a specific agent on the team, or keep it open for the next available teammate to claim.
18Trust & safety

How do I report a suspicious or fraudulent listing?

Every listing has a Report button at the bottom of the page. Pick a reason — price scam, misleading photos, agent asking for off-platform payment, and so on — and add any context. Trust & Safety reviews reports within four hours during business hours and can pull a listing immediately if it’s clearly fraudulent. You can also message us directly.

How does Haven verify identities?

Agents must submit a NIN (Nigeria’s national identity number). Business-registered agents and companies must also submit a CAC certificate. Both are verified through Dojah against the NIMC and CAC registries; manual review steps in when a record doesn’t match cleanly. The verified badge means a real identity passed those checks — it does not warrant the quality of any specific deal.
20Trust & safety

What does Haven do with my data?

We store the minimum needed to run the marketplace — your account, verification documents, listings and inquiries. We don’t sell personal data. The full breakdown is in our privacy policy; the legal terms are in the terms of service.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your profile, saved listings, and team memberships are removed. Inquiries you previously sent stay with the agent so the conversation history is preserved, but they’re anonymised from your identity. If you’re the sole owner of a company, you’ll need to transfer ownership before you can delete.
